Walking down bustling narrow streets with food stalls spilling across, a calm early morning stroll along Hoan Kiem Lake, shopping in the old quarter, savouring some fabulous Vietnamese food and cruising in the Halong Bay with lush islands and a seascape of limestone karsts dramatically rising from the emerald waters, this 4 day trip is quite an immersive experience.
On arrival, met and transferred to the hotel.
Lunch on your own. In the afternoon, join half day city tour:
Visit Ho Chi Minh complex and the stilted house, the One Pillar pagoda, Ba Dinh square and President Palace (outside). Visit Temple of literature, the beautifully preserved temple dating back to 1070 that became the first university of Vietnam. Enjoy a Cyclo ride around the Hoan Kiem lake, Opera House and the Old Quarter with 36 streets named after the products traditionally sold there.
Free in the evening. Overnight in Hanoi hotel.
Transfer to Halong Bay. After check-in and security briefings, you will set sail. Enjoy a typical local lunch in the dining room or at the outdoor dining area with stunning views of the Bay and its dramatic limestone islets as you sail through the calm emerald waters. Explore the bay on kayak or comfortably capture the daily life of the fishermen on bamboo boat rowed by the locals.
In the evening, enjoy an authentic Vietnamese dinner and relax or join some activities such as squid fishing.
Overnight on board the Cruise.
Greet the day with an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay in the early morning. After breakfast, explore the Amazing Cave and join a short cooking demonstration to make spring rolls, before an early lunch. Back to the wharf.
Transfer to Hanoi. Free time for shopping in the Old Quarter. Overnight in Hanoi hotel.
