You are deemed to have read, understood, and accepted the following terms and conditions, also on behalf of family/friends for whom you have booked. Tara Holidays Pte. Ltd. (“the Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”), is a Singapore registered and licensed Travel Agent and all bookings made by you (the Customer) are governed by the following terms and conditions.
RESERVATION, DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT
When booking a Package or Free and Easy tour, the Customer must go through the itinerary, services included/excluded and the T&C. A deposit of 30% of the package tour is required to process booking plus full amount for issuance of tickets. Balance is payable 30 days prior to departure. If full payment is not received based on the deadline stated, the Company reserves the right to forfeit the deposit and cancel the reservation. For Group Tours, payment of the deposit and confirmation of the reservation does not constitute confirmation of the package tour. All group tours are subject to a minimum group size, indicated with the tour cost and services included.
Payment is by bank transfer, PayNow or cheque. Cheque will only be accepted if presented to the Company at least 30 working days before departure.
AMENDMENT OR CANCELLATION BY THE CUSTOMER
For any amendments made after booking the package tour, a new quotation will be provided with any additional hotel and/or suppliers fees which may apply and any reissuance or non-refundable fee imposed by the airlines for any air tickets. If the size of your group is reduced, the price per person for other members may increase.
Cancellation charges for Package Tours
Above cancellation charges apply if the air ticket is not issued. If the air ticket is issued, the air ticket value will be added onto the cancellation charges depending on the fare conditions on which the tickets were issued. The cancellation policy of certain hotels, cruises and trains may be different and will apply with a handling fee of S$ 100 per person superseding the above terms. These will be communicated to you at the time of booking. If the deposit amount is insufficient to cover the cancellation, customer must pay the difference.
Cancellation charges for Free & Easy Packages For Free & Easy Packages, admin fee of S$ 100 per person and / or one night hotel rate will be imposed for those travel documents not Issued. Once travel documents are issued, there will be no changes allowed and no refund due.
Cancellation Charges due to travel advisory For cancellations due to travel advisory by MFA or other government authorities against non-essential travel, the Company will wherever possible assist to provide documents for any travel insurance claims. For Package Tours, an admin fee of S$ 100 per person will be levied on top of the suppliers (eg. airlines, hotels etc.) charges. For Free & Easy packages, the cancellation fee will be subject to the T&Cs of the third-party suppliers (ie. Cosmos, Insight, Trafalgar, etc) with an admin fee of S$ 100 on top of the third-party charges.
AMENDMENT BY THE COMPANY
The Company makes reasonable effort to avoid changes to the itinerary. However, we reserve the right to make changes to the itinerary, travel arrangements, hotel reservations at any time (without prior notice and compensation) due to unforeseen circumstances.
EXTENSION / DEVIATION OF STAY
Any extension / deviation of stay at the end of the tour or travel arrangement is permitted subject to the maximum validity, availability and restrictions of the air ticket and availability of accommodation prior to the commencement of the tour. The extra costs incurred to process the extension will be borne by the Customer. It is the Customer’s responsibility to hold a confirmed seat for the return flight if booked by the Customer. No refund is due for any unused air ticket, accommodation, meals, sightseeing, in part or in full.
NO SHOW
Failure to travel or arrive on time for any tour without prior notification is considered no-show and the entire cost of reservation is non-refundable.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS, TRAVEL INSURANCE
Passport and other travel documents It is the Customer’s sole responsibility to ensure that they have a valid passport with minimum 6 months’ validity from the date of return point, relevant visa to travel, re-entry permit, and vaccination certifications as required. If for any reason, application for visa is rejected, the Customer must inform the Company at least 60 days prior to departure. The Company cannot be held liable for any expenses, reimbursement, or refund of any tour prices if the Customer is refused entry by any country on the tour for any reasons, including lack of necessary visa.
Travel Insurance Based on a licensing condition of STB, all passengers are strongly advised to purchase travel insurance for unforeseen circumstances such as baggage loss, flight delays, travel agent insolvency and medical emergencies. We strongly recommend that you purchase adequate travel insurance at the time of booking.
GENERAL MATTERS RELATING TO TOURS
Accommodation is as specified in the itinerary or the booking form. Accommodation for adults is based on twin-share, double or triple share at the nominated or similar standard hotels. In the event the accommodation booked or requested is not available, every effort will be made for alternative in another accommodation of similar standard. When booking triple-share rooms, please note that the third bed may be a ‘roll-away’ bed.
Meals All meals are as specified in the itinerary. If selected carrier’s flight timing does not allow for certain meals to be taken, there will not be any refund for meals, if any.
Special Requests For any special requests such as special meals, dietary requirements, adjoining rooms, etc., please inform us upon booking. Such requests are subject to availability.
PRICING POLICIES
All prices shown in the various itineraries are approximate in Singapore Dollars and may change based on travel dates, hotels suggested, seasonal rates, airlines used, services included, etc.
Tour Cost Includes the Customer may refer to the respective itinerary for its inclusions. Package Tour Fares are subject to change without prior notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances including currency fluctuations, increases in room rates, local taxes, etc.
Tour Cost Excludes International and domestic airfares, airport taxes, security taxes, airline insurance surcharge, fuel taxes, train tickets, local transfers and meals not stated in the itinerary (eg. free & easy, deviation), visa fees, travel insurance, laundry, excess baggage charges, beverages, room service, gratuities to drivers and local guides and tips to hotel porters, and personal expenses.
Child Fare Child fare is applicable to children below 12 years old. A surcharge will be imposed where an extra bed is required for the child or where the child occupies a room with only one adult.
Refund Policy For bank transfer payments, refund will be made by bank transfer and processed within 2- 4 weeks. Refunds involving air tickets or third party suppliers may take between 3-6 months to process.
Feedback The Company welcomes feedback from the Customers in its continuing efforts to improve its service quality. Any disputes with regards to the tour must be submitted in writing within 14 days from the date of return. No responsibility is accepted in respect to any dispute that is made thereafter.
CONFIDENTIALITY AND PRIVACY
We will not divulge the Customer’s personal information to any unauthorized third party. By joining our package tours, all travellers shall be deemed to have consented to collection and use of personal information on our part as stated in our Privacy Policy.
RESPONSIBILITY AND LIABILITY
All arrangements for the provision of transport, accommodation, sightseeing and other tours or travel services are made by us through our appointed agents. The Company is not liable for any deviations or changes made by the suppliers to the tours purchased by the Customer as itineraries, prices, services, and conditions are correct at the time of confirmation, but will render assistance wherever possible.
The Company accepts no liability for injuries, damage, accident, loss, delay, theft, illness, death, quarantine, deportation or refusal of entry by Immigration authorities resulting from incomplete or improper travel documentation, possession of unlawful items or irregularities that may be caused to person or property. Any losses and expenses are the responsibility of the Customer. All required travel documentation is the sole responsibility of the Customer.
The company are to be released from all liabilities deriving from acts of terrorism, hijacking, civil or political unrest, war, natural calamities, weather, labor strikes, thefts, travel advisory and any other factors beyond the company’s control. In the event of cancellation due to uncontrollable circumstances, customers shall bear any costs incurred.
The Company also reserves the right to ask any individual to withdraw from the tour if it is found that his or her behaviour or conduct is incompatible with the health, safety, harmony and welfare of the other tour participants.
MISCELLANEOUS
The Company reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions without prior notice.
