After breakfast, proceed to Kandy via Pinnawala. Visit the elephant orphanage in Pinnawala. This orphanage is the home for about 60 elephants, some are baby elephants found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. Accompany the elephants to a river close-by and see them bathing. 

Lunch at a restaurant. 

Visit Kandy which was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The name Kandy conjures visions of splendour and magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798. Visit the Mosque in Kandy and in the evening witness a cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancing. Dinner and overnight stay in Kandy. 

After breakfast, proceed to Nuwara Eliya via Peradeniya. Visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, first built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala King and was expanded by the British. Visit a tea plantation and a tea factory, where the best tea in the world is produced. You will be told all about the process of manufacturing tea.

Lunch at a restaurant. 

Visit Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka’s most popular hill resort because of its invigorating mountain climate and scenery. Nuwara Eliya is also the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea country producing a significant share of the world’s best tea. Sri Lanka’s highest mountain Pidurutalagala (8282 feet) is located here. Nuwara Eliya also has one of the finest 18-hole golf courses in South Asia. Visit a Mosque in Nuwara Eliya. Dinner and overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya or Kandapola.

After breakfast, proceed to Koggala via Kitulgala. Lunch at a restaurant. Kitulgala was the location where the famous film ‘Bridge on the River Kwai’ was filmed. Enroute observe the waterfalls St. Clare’s and Devon. Visit a Mosque in Galle. Dinner and overnight stay at a Beach resort. 

After breakfast, drive to Colombo. On arrival, proceed for a city tour. Colombo, like many capital cities in developing countries, is fast changing. Places of interest are the Pettah bazaar where one can shop for bargains, Old Parliament in Fort and the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall.

Lunch at a restaurant, then proceed for a shopping tour. Visit the Ceramics Corporation Showrooms, Majestic City Shopping complex and ODEL Unlimited Dress Boutique. Visit a Mosque in Colombo. Dinner at a restaurant and overnight stay in Colombo.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the return flight
