Vienna, Austria’s capital, lies in the country’s east on the Danube River. Its artistic and intellectual legacy was shaped by residents including Mozart, Beethoven and Sigmund Freud. The city is also known for its Imperial palaces, including Schönbrunn, the Habsburgs’ summer residence. 1730 hrs: Vienna: 1-Hour Boat Tour on the Danube Canal (1 hr)

Embark on a boat trip along the Danube Canal through the historical and modern city of Vienna. Once known as the ‘Vienna Water,’ the ‘Vienna Arm,’ and the ‘Little Danube,’ this route of today’s Danube Canal was the main arm of the Danube in the Middle Ages. On this tour, see important buildings including the Uniqa Tower, the Urania Observatory, hotels and commercial buildings by Jean Nouvel, and the Media Tower by Hans Hollein. Take a look at the Schützenhaus by Otto Wagner, the Ringturm, the Rossauer Barracks, and the waste incineration plant of Spttelau designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser. On arrival in Budapest, pick up from the station and transfer to your hotel.  Rest of the day at leisure. Budapest, Hungary’s capital, is bisected by the river Danube. Its 19th-century Chain Bridge connects the hilly Buda district with flat Pest. A funicular runs up Castle Hill to Buda’s Old Town, where the Budapest History Museum traces city life from Roman times onward. Trinity Square is home to 13th-century Matthias Church and the turrets of the Fishermen’s Bastion, which offer sweeping views. 

2100hrs: Budapest: Nighttime Sightseeing Cruise with Welcome Drink:

(70 mins): Get a different perspective on Budapest’s landmarks with a sightseeing cruise at nighttime. Receive a welcome drink after boarding, then cruise under the city’s beautiful bridges, see the riverside promenade, and check out other Budapest sights. During the cruise, pass under some of Budapest’s most well-known bridges: the Chain Bridge with its guardian lions, the Elizabeth Bridge, and the Liberty Bridge, famous for connecting the Central Market Hall with the Gellert Spa. Cruise by the Danube Promenade and take in Vigadó Square. See the statue of Saint Gellért atop Gellert Hill, as well as the Royal Palace and the Parliament.
