Jerusalem occupies a unique place in the world. It is holy to Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

This day’s tour starts on Mount Scopus, one of the best places to get a panoramic view of the city, which is part of a ridge of mountains that includes the Mount of Olives. Then to Mount of Olives, one of three hills on a long ridge to the east of Jerusalem, the location of many biblical events. 

Continue to the Garden of Gethsemane, near the foot of the Mount of Olives, named in the New Testament where Jesus went with his disciples to pray the night before he was crucified. 

In the afternoon, walk into the Old City to see and touch the Western Wall (Wailing Wall), the only one remnant of the Second Temple. Walk the Way of the Cross, the Via Dolorosa, to Calvary and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, housing both the traditional site of Crucifixion and the Tomb of the Resurrection. Then turn southwest, just outside the Old City, visit Mount Zion, with the traditional tomb of King David and the Room of the Last Supper.

After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to Tel Aviv. Walk through Tel Aviv’s UNESCO World Heritage Site, the White City, including the well-known Rothschild Boulevard and surrounding streets admiring the details and historical past of world-renowned buildings. 

Explore the colorful and vibrant Shuk HaCarmel (Carmel market), Tel Aviv’s main marketplace. From fresh olives to spices, fresh local cheeses and artisan bread, the market is filled with colors, flavors and many local specialties and pastries such as halva, baklava, and other sweet delights. Enjoy a sampling of authentic flavors. 

Take in the rich history and cultural significance of Tel Aviv Street art by exploring and admiring dynamic graffiti and street art in the area. 

In the afternoon, travel to Bethlehem. Visit the Church of the Nativity, the Grotto of the Nativity and Chapel of Saint Jerome. It was in Bethlehem just over 2,000 years ago that Mary gave birth to baby Jesus. Today, it is a thriving city in the Palestinian Authority West Bank approximately 10 km south of Jerusalem and the Nativity Church is the city’s top attraction.

Transfer back to Jerusalem hotel for overnight.

After breakfast, we go to Tiberias, a city on the western shore of Sea of Galilee. Visit Mount of Beatitudes, site of the Sermon on the Mount. Continue to Tabgha where the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes took place then visit Saint Peter’s Primacy Church. Continue to visit the ruins of Capernaum, the town where Jesus made his home after leaving Nazareth. Drive to Kibbutz Ginosar for a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. 

Proceed to Allenby Bridge. Welcome to Jordan! Met and assisted by our Jordan representative and transferred to Amman hotel for overnight.

Jerash, located 45 km north to Amman, is the best-preserved example of Roman Civilization in Jordan. The Major highlights: Hadrian’s Arch, the Hippodrome, the colonnaded street, Temple of Aphrodite, Temples of Artemis and Zeus, the Roman theater, The Nymphaeum, Churches from early Christian-Byzantine era, some Umayyad and Mamluks settlements. Beyond the Roman ruins, Jerash is a contemporary city with plenty of places to dine and unwind after a day of sightseeing.

Amman is the capital of Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which was founded 7000 years ago. The Major highlights of the city: Amman Citadel: where you can visit Amman Archaeological Museum, Hercules Temple, Byzantine Church and the Ummayad Palace. The Roman Amphitheater is in the downtown next to the Folklore Museum. Amman down-town streets are ideal for short shopping walk within the old markets, and also you can enjoy Amman Cafes in the New Part of the city where the major shopping malls are located.

Transfer back to Amman hotel for overnight.

After breakfast, visit Madaba – The mosaic-filled city just 30 minutes south of Amman on the Kings Highway. The major highlight is the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George, home to the largest mosaic map in the world that portrays the old Holy Land with 2 million pieces of mosaic.

Mount Nebo – situated 10 kilometers west of Madaba, overlooking the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, West Bank and Jerusalem, is the site believed to be where Moses saw the Promised Land. The major highlight is the Byzantine Church.

Dead Sea Beach – The Bottom of the world, the lowest body of water on earth at 400 meters below sea level, the Dead Sea glistens under a burning sun with barely a ripple disturbing its surface. The rocks that meet its lapping edges become covered with a snow-like thick gleaming deposit of white salt. It is this extremely high concentration of salt that gives the Dead Sea waters their renowned therapeutic qualities and their buoyancy. You can float in the Dead Sea without even trying. Swimming in the Dead Sea is a truly unique experience not to be missed. Overnight in Petra Hotel.

Petra, known as the ‘Pink-Rose City’ or the “Lost City” is one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. A breathtaking guided walking tour today through the ruins of ancient Petra – the city that the Nabateans carved out of solid rock dating back to 300 BC! Special moments to walk through a passage the Siq, which dramatically opens up to reveal the Treasury Building (Al-Khazneh). We will also see the Roman Theatre, Corinthian tomb, Palace of Pharos’s Daughter, the Carved Roman Theater and the Royal Courts, along with one of the oldest Cathedral of the Bishop highchair. For those who can stand the strenuous climb, a path takes you up 1000 steps to the high place: an ancient Nabatean sacrificial site with an Altar cut from the rock. 

Wadi Rum, the ‘valley of the moon’, is an enchanting desert landscape with its sandstone rock formations, marvellous canyons, dry valleys and Bedouin camps. It rose to fame following the movie ‘Lawrence of Arabia’. It’s become a popular filming location for movies looking for lunar, moon-like, landscapes. Some recent movies filmed here include ‘The Martian’, and scenes from ‘Star Wars: Rogue One’. Activities like Jeep safari, Camel ride and Sand-ski can be chosen (optional). Transfer to Amman hotel for overnight.
