Transfer with your Egyptologist who will guide you for a full day tour. Start with the Great Pyramid of Giza (also known as the Pyramid of Khufu or the Pyramid of Cheops), the oldest (dating back to early 26th century) and largest of the pyramids in the Giza pyramid complex and the only one to remain largely intact. The two smaller – but still huge – pyramids in Giza are those of Khafre and Menkaure. Nearby, the Great Sphinx watches over all. Lunch at a local restaurant. 

Visit the Egyptian Museum displaying a vast collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities featuring the famous Tutankhamen collection and the royal Mummy room housing some Pharaonic dignitaries. Proceed to the fascinating Khan El-Khalili Bazaar reputed to be the largest bazaar in the Middle East. Then drive back to hotel for overnight. 

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Transfer to Cairo domestic airport for flight to Aswan. On arrival transfer to your Nile Cruise to drop the luggage and visit High Dam. Located near Aswan, the world-famous Dam was an engineering miracle when it was built in the 960s. Philae Temple by motorboat: Dedicated to Goddess Isis and constructed on the beautiful island of Philae, it’s a marvel of decorative pylons featuring some of Egypt’s finest carvings. Then the unfinished obelisk (from outside), the largest known ancient obelisk, located in the northern region of the stone quarries of ancient Egypt in Aswan. Lunch and dinner on board the Nile Cruise. Overnight on the cruise.

Breakfast on board. Sail to visit the Kom Ombo temple: Dedicated to Sobek and Horus the Elder, the entire temple holds two perfectly symmetrical sections as a tribute to the mythical link the two Gods shared. Lunch and dinner on board. Overnight on the cruise. 

Breakfast on board. Visit Edfu temple: The well-preserved Ptolemaic Temple of Horus is the second biggest temple in Egypt after Karnak and lies at the centre of the cult of a triad of Gods: Horus of Behdet, Hathor, and their son, Hor-Sama-Tawy. Lunch on board. 

Afternoon, sail to Luxor. Visit The temple of Luxor which is incredibly rich with the chronicles of the past on the pillars, obelisks and walls of the temples. The Theban Triad (Amun, Mut and Khonsu) was worshiped here. During the Opet Festival, the statue of Amun at Karnak traveled to the Luxor Temple. The temple is oriented north to south to face Karnak; instead of east to west like most Egyptian temples. Dinner on board. Overnight on the cruise.

Breakfast on board. Check out and disembark. Proceed to visit the West bank including: Valley of the Kings, situated on the ancient site of Thebes, a treasure trove of archaeological wonders, where most of the tombs of the Egypt’s New Kingdom rulers are located. The most famous tomb is that of King Tutankhamun, discovered in pristine condition by British archaeologist Howard Carter in 1922. Karnak temple: One of the world’s most celebrated temple complexes comprising a vast mix of decayed temples, chapels and pylons built over a period of 1500 years, the temple is dedicated to God Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu. At the entrance you will find a ram-headed avenue of Sphinxes, which was built to protect the Temple. 

Transfer to Luxor airport for flight to Cairo. Met on arrival and transferred to your Cairo hotel. Rest of the day is free to explore the city or relax in your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Transfer to the airport for the return flight.
